Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is a Mexican American journalist. She's an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation often. She began working for ESPN in 2016. She is the child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native speaker of two languages. From the age of nine years old, Collins's capacity to converse in two languages led to her obtaining a job in Miami as an assistant producer for Univision. In this role she was able to collaborate with national program producers, such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. In St. Petersburg, she was then employed by the CBS station as the sports reporter. In 2009 she moved into Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as a news reporter for The Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. The stories she covered were about immigration and drug trafficking throughout Texas and Mexico. Also, she was often required to act as a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate and she assumed additional duties. She created pieces for Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS as well as the World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. She produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra as anchor. She has been promoted to sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The anchor also worked in the same job on Primer Impacto on UniMas Network as well as Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collin's parents originally hail from Veracruz Mexico. Her birth date was November 22nd on the 22nd of October, 1985 in Mexico City. She's more mature than her younger sister. The family moved into Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. They divorced shortly thereafter and in 1995 her mother was remarried to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. In the summer of 2006, she took one week with her sibling at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked at the time. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school and was very aware of her goals for the future. She visited Mount Union University to find out if the school was suitable for her. The campus was a dream for her. The university also provided her with the degree she wanted. She completed her schooling and was admitted to the university with a degree studying media and communication studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was part of the class, established an ongoing relationship with her. Mark Bergmann inspired her to believe in herself and also his love in journalism was a huge influence on her. She was determined to live up to his standards and never fail him.
